What we believe

We believe in the one living and true God, creator, preserver and ruler of all things in heaven and earth, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe that God, in his infinite love for all people, gave his eternal Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who became man, lived on earth, died upon the cross for our sins, rose again from the dead and lives for evermore.

We believe that through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ the world has been reconciled to God, and in Jesus Christ unity has been offered to all people.

We believe in the one, holy, catholic, apostolic Church, in heaven and on earth, wherein by the same Spirit, the whole company of believers is made one Body of Christ, to worship God and serve him and all people in his kingdom of righteousness and love.

We acknowledge that we are part of the visible body of Christ in this community, with Christ as head.  We are His voice, His hands, His feet.  Under His control we are united and held together.  We aim for each separate part to work as it should so that the whole body grows and builds itself through love.

Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not have all the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.  (Romans 12: 4-5)

Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf.  (1 Corinthians 10:17)
